The Trade, Commerce, and Manufacturing Task Force leads the CHC's work in the areas of trade, commerce and manufacturing. Additionally, the Task Force works on issues related to the financial services sector, such as banking, housing and the foreclosure crisis.

Washington, D.C. —Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) met with Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo to discuss job creation and investments in communities, businesses, and workers across the U.S, especially within the Hispanic community. Following the meeting, CHC Chairman Dr. Raul Ruiz released the statement below:
WASHINGTON — Today, President-Elect Joe Biden nominated Isabel Guzman as Small Business Administrator. Guzman currently serves as Director of California's Office of the Small Business Advocate. She was appointed to the position by Gov. Gavin Newsom. She is also the co-founder of a small business called GovContractPros. The company helps small business owners navigate federal government resources. Following the nomination, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) released the following statement:
WASHINGTON, DC – Today, Congresswoman Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01), Chairwoman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), members of CHC leadership, and the CHC Puerto Rico Task Force, sent a letter to Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Brock Long and Tito Hernandez, Deputy Federal Coordinating Officer at the Puerto Rico Joint Field Office.
