CHC Statement on House Passage of Inflation Reduction Act

Washington, D.C. –Today, the House sent historic, inflation-fighting legislation to the President's desk. The Inflation Reduction Act will deliver landmark investments to lower kitchen table costs, create nine million good-paying union jobs, combat the climate crisis and dramatically reduce the deficit. Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:
"Today, Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) voted in full force for the historic Inflation Reduction Act to lower the cost of prescription drugs and health insurance, reduce everyday energy costs, invest in working families, create millions of well-paid union jobs, and take big action to address the climate crisis. It is a major step forward that will benefit rural communities and communities of color across the nation."
