The Trade, Commerce, and Manufacturing Task Force leads the CHC's work in the areas of trade, commerce and manufacturing. Additionally, the Task Force works on issues related to the financial services sector, such as banking, housing and the foreclosure crisis.

Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) released the following statement after the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt's announced that the Trump administration intends to repeal the Clean Power Plan, putting our environment, health, economy, and national security at risk:
"The Trump administration's repeal of the Clean Power Plan without any plan to reduce carbon pollution and fight climate change is egregiously irresponsible and will have severe consequences for the health and well-being of our communities and planet. "It is shameful that this far into his Presidency, Mr. Trump continues to grow the divisions that he sowed during his campaign. Instead of using his platform to support a reasonable path forward on immigration reform, the economy and the budget, the President chose to push his divisive, nativist agenda. He continued his attacks on immigrant communities and recklessly threatened to shut down the government if Congress refuses to allocate billions of taxpayer funds to pay for his unnecessary and ineffective border wall.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairwoman Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Members of the CHC sent a letter to Department of Justice (DOJ) Attorney General Jeff Sessions inviting him to a meeting to discuss the many concerns Members have with recent DOJ policy changes.
As stated in the letter, "In recent months, the Department of Justice has issued a number of troubling policy changes that run counter to this mission and move us away from a more fair and just society…Many of these changes are constitutionally questionable and some have been overturned in the courts.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairwoman Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham and Members of the CHC sent a letter to Department of Labor (DOL) Secretary Alexander Acosta inviting him to a meeting to discuss policies and regulations under his jurisdiction.
As stated in the letter, "Hispanics represent more than 16 percent of the workforce. This number will only continue to increase as Hispanics are projected to represent nearly 30 percent of the country's population by 2060.
