The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is proud to support the Congressional Black Caucus' call to action for corporate America to recommit to genuine diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies. The murder of George Floyd exposed deep racial injustices that forced businesses to reevaluate and change their hiring and promotion policies to ensure that they were equitable. While progress has been made, opportunities for entry and promotion at major corporations still lag for communities of color.
Washington, D.C. – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is heading to Houston, Texas, this Monday as part of the CHC on the Road initiative to engage with Latinos across the region. In Houston, CHCChairNanette Barragán (CA-44) will join CHC Whip Congresswoman Sylvia Garcia (TX-29)in hosting Vice President of the United States of America Kamala Harris for a community conversation at a local health department center.
