Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) released the following statement on a report that House Republicans are planning to cut $876 million from Federal Emergency Management Agency's disaster relief account to finance the President's border wall:
"It's disgusting and disgraceful that Republican lawmakers thought it was ok to pillage one-third of FEMA's disaster relief account and use it to build President Trump's senseless border wall.

Michelle Lujan Grisham and Members of Congress sent a letter to Acting Secretary of U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to express deep concern and disappointment with the Department of Homeland Security's recent decision to terminate the Central American Minors (CAM) Parole program. Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM-01) released the following statement urging President Trump not to issue a pardon for former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio. This statement comes on the heels of reports that the President said that he was "seriously considering" issuing a pardon for Arpaio, who was convicted of criminal contempt for ignoring a judge's order to stop traffic patrols targeting suspected undocumented immigrants.
