Congressional Hispanic Caucus Demands Answers on the Undue Coercion of Unaccompanied Migrant Children
Washington, D.C. — Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) sent a letter to Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Attorney General Pam Bondi expressing serious concern over reports that the Trump administration is offering $2,500 payments to unaccompanied migrant children in exchange for agreeing to “voluntarily” depart the United States.
Video Captures Overcrowded ICE Holding Facility In Lower Manhattan

Videos sent to a New York assemblywoman and an immigration advocate group shows an alleged ICE detention facility on the 10th floor of a federal immigration court in Lower Manhattan. According to the New York Immigration Coalition, individuals detained at the facility have been there for days and weeks at a time without showers, medication or a change of clothes, sleeping on the floor, and with minimal food and outside contact.
Espaillat and Velazquez Call On DHS To Investigate Manhattan ICE Facility

New York Democratic Reps. Nydia Velázquez and Adriano Espaillat are calling on the Department of Homeland Security to investigate a New York City facility that’s become pivotal in the Trump administration’s immigration agenda.
The House Democrats’ call for an investigation — and for DHS to stop using 26 Federal Plaza as a detention site — comes after Velázquez and Espaillat (who is the chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus) were denied access to the facility over two visits in June and July.
