WASHINGTON, D.C. — In a Newsweek opinion piece published today, the Chairs of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), Congressional Black Caucus (CBC), and Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC) detailed how Trump’s Project 2025 would devastate health care for people of color, rural populations, the LGBTQ+ population, and low-income communities.
The Chairs instead offered the Health Equity and Accountability Act as a path forward to build on the progress Congressional Democrats, in partnership with the Obama-Biden Administration and Biden-Harris Administration, made with the Affordable Care Act and Inflation Reduction Act.

Washington D.C — Today, the Congressional Hispanic CaucusLeadership (CHC) and 9 of their colleagues sent a letter to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to protect Latino families from serious neural tube defects (NTDs) by requiring bilingual warning labels on corn masa flour and products that are not fortified with folic acid.

If one thing became clear after the repeal of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court, and with it, the constitutional right to abortion, it is that the head-on attack on reproductive rights wants to go further to undermine the right to contraception. That's the bad news.
