WASHINGTON, D.C.—Today, President Joe Biden fulfilled his commitment to address our immigration system by unveiling immigration executive actions and sending an immigration bill, the U.S. Citizenship Act of 2021, to Congress on Day One. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) will lead efforts to pass immigration reform this Congress and ensure it reaches President Biden's desk. Immigration Taskforce Chair Linda Sánchez (D-CA) and Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ), both CHC members, will introduce President Biden's immigration proposal in the House and Senate, respectively.

WASHINGTON — Today, President-Elect Joe Biden nominated Isabel Guzman as Small Business Administrator. Guzman currently serves as Director of California's Office of the Small Business Advocate. She was appointed to the position by Gov. Gavin Newsom. She is also the co-founder of a small business called GovContractPros. The company helps small business owners navigate federal government resources. WASHINGTON — Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Raul Ruiz, M.D. (CA-36) welcomed two new Members to the CHC, all whose elections mark historic breakthroughs in the United States Congress: Congresswoman Teresa Leger Fernandez (NM-03), and Congressman Ritchie Torres (NY-15). Senator Ben Ray Luján (D-NM), an existing CHC Member, was sworn in today as a new Senator.
