Congressional Hispanic Caucus Endorses Cuba Pro-Democracy Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) has endorsed H.Res 534, a pro-democracy resolution in support of the thousands of Cuban citizens in their pursuit of liberty and basic human rights. The resolution was led by CHC Members Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Bob Menendez (D-NJ), House Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere Chairman Albio Sires (NJ-08), and Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09), as well as Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-23).

"The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) is proud to endorse the Cuba pro-democracy resolution in response to Cuban citizens peacefully calling for freedom and democracy," said Chair Dr. Ruiz. "The CHC fervently supports the Cuban people's right to free speech and access to basic human rights. I thank CHC Members Senator Bob Menendez, Congressman Albio Sires, and Congressman Darren Soto, as well as Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, for their leadership in fighting for freedom and democracy in the region."
