CHC ON APPOINTMENT OF CECILIA MUÑOZ

Washington D.C.: Chairman Charles A. Gonzalez (TX 20) released this statement after the Obama Administration announced that Cecilia Muñoz will serve as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council.

“I applaud the White House for appointing Cecilia Muñoz, a longstanding advocate for the Hispanic community, to serve as the Director of the Domestic Policy Council. It is a great move forward to have a talented Latina in such an important position, and there is no doubt that Ms. Muñoz’s experiences working with Congress and advocacy organizations across the country will prove to be a benefit to the president.
