Congressional Hispanic Caucus Holds News Conference
November 20, 2025
"The Supreme Court has sent our country a very clear message: If you are Latino, if you speak Spanish, or if you work hard for a living, your rights are now conditional," said Democratic Congresswoman Norma Torres (CA) at a Congressional Hispanic Caucus news conference. The event was held in response to the Supreme Court's decision to stay a district court injunction that blocked certain immigration enforcement actions in Los Angeles. Members of the Caucus expressed strong dissent, accusing the Court of legalizing "racial profiling". They also raised concerns about the lack of explanation provided by the Court and emphasized the importance of voting.
