Statement Of Chairman Hinojosa On Announcement That President Obama Will Attend The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Gala

Washington, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) released the following statement today in response to the announcement that President Barack Obama will attend the 36th Annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Gala:

Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15): “The Congressional Hispanic Caucus is very proud to welcome President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute's (CHCI) 36th Annual Awards Gala on October 2nd.

The President's attendance reflects a strong commitment to the Latino community and to the future leaders that the CHCI works so hard to develop each year. My colleagues in Congress and I look forward to working with the President to pass comprehensive immigration reform this year and continue our efforts to greatly improve the quality of life of Hispanics and all Americans."
