“After an 'oops' moment, the House Tea Party Republicans have finally decided to join the rest of Congress in passing a bipartisan compromise to extend payroll tax cuts, unemployment insurance, and Medicare funding rates. At this critical juncture in our nation’s economic recovery, these extensions will provide much needed relief to millions American working families.

“Additionally, it is good news to see that if the American people speak out loudly, they can change the negative and unreasonable behavior as demonstrated by the House Republicans' opposition to the extension of the middle class tax cuts.”
