CHC Statement on Fifth Circuit DACA Decision

Washington, D.C. – Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:
"Today, DACA recipients can breathe a sigh of relief, but the urgency remains to pass a permanent solution that brings stability to the lives of DACA recipients. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) calls on 10 Senate Republicans to join all Democrats to pass the House-passed bipartisan Dream and Promise Act out of the Senate and to the President's desk. Our Dreamers cannot wait. We must modernize our broken immigration system, keep families together, strengthen our economy, provide pathways to citizenship, and live up to our nation's values of hope, opportunity, and the American dream."
