CHC Chair Statement on Meeting with Secretary Mayorkas

Washington, D.C. – Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) met with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:

"The CHC's conversation with Secretary Mayorkas touched on the progress made to fix our broken immigration system, and we looked ahead to identify key opportunities in the coming months to build on this progress. Our advocacy will continue. This includes calling on ten Senate Republicans to join all Democrats and step up to the plate to help us get immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship, and the House passed bipartisan Dream and Promise Act and Farm Workforce Modernization Act, across the finish line."
