Washington, D.C. On the possibility of anti-immigrant amendments in the Inflation Reduction Act, Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:

"The Senate must reject the adoption of any anti-immigrant amendments to the Inflation Reduction Act. Should those amendments be included in the final package, the Senate will jeopardize its passage. While this bill is an incredible achievement for the health and welfare of our communities, Democrats must stand united against the extreme Republican agenda designed to divide our caucus, hurt immigrant families, and create further chaos at the border."

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
