Chairman Espaillat Congratulates Rep. Joaquín Castro (TX-20), Our Representative on the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the American Latino
Washington, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) released the following statement celebrating Rep. Joaquín Castro’s appointment to the Board of Trustees of the National Museum of the American Latino.
"Rep. Castro is a beacon for his ongoing commitment to Latino representation in media and the arts. The CHC will be expertly represented on a board entrusted with our American story," said Espaillat.
“The CHC has a depth of talent and experience to represent our constituents, whether at the table of power or at storied institutions like the Smithsonian.
“I also recognize Rep. Delia Ramirez (IL-03) for presenting her candidacy for a seat at the Board of Trustees. Rep. Ramirez’s own personal story and her experience in non-profit work backed her formidable vision for the role. Her contributions will be invaluable as we move forward.
