Wife of mistakenly deported Maryland man, lawmakers demand his return

Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, joined by Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-Maryland, and Rep. Glenn Ivey, D-Maryland, demanded answers Wednesday about the mistaken deportation of Maryland resident Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

Together with the organization CASA and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Jennifer Vásquez Sura offered a press conference in which she not only addressed the unfairness of the situation, but also the pain it has caused by leaving a broken family, with what was described as "a kidnapping" by the government.
