MEDIA ADVISORY: Hispanic Caucus Members to Hold Press Conference with Dreamers and TPS Recipients
WASHINGTON—Tomorrow, March 6, 2019 at 8:30 am ET, Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20), Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, will host a press conference with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS), and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) recipients, and call for legal protections and a pathway to citizenship for the thousands who rely on these programs.
Members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, who have been leaders in Congress on immigration reform, will discuss their legislative work to protect immigrants and their families and how the Trump Administration's anti-immigrant agenda has impacted their congressional districts. DACA, TPS, and DED recipients in attendance will also have the opportunity share their stories and how their status has impacted their lives here in the United States.
