WASHINGTON, D.C. — On Monday, June 22, 2020, at 1:15pm CT, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus led by Chairman Joaquin Castro will hold a press conference with Representatives Sylvia Garcia and Henry Cuellar after their congressional delegation conduct oversight of the South Texas ICE Processing Center in Pearsall and the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley. With the COVID-19 ravaging the county, ICE detention facilities have become hotspots, leaving hundreds of immigrant families and ICE detention officers at higher risks of contracting the coronavirus.
