Congressional Hispanic Caucus Welcomes New Policy Director, Estefanía L. Rodriguez
WASHINGTON— The Congressional Hispanic Caucus announced today the hiring of Estefanía L. Rodriguez as Policy Director.
Rodriguez previously worked for Rep. Henry C. "Hank" Johnson, Jr. (GA-04) as a Senior Legislative Assistant on agriculture, financial services and labor policy, as well advising on his work on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. She previously worked for Rep. Nanette Diaz Barragán (CA-44), where she managed the immigration, housing, and judiciary policy portfolios as well as assisting on the Congresswoman's work on the Committee on Homeland Security.
Rodriguez began her career on Capitol Hill in 2012 as a staffer for Congressman Pedro R. Pierluisi (PR-AL), where she helped pass bankruptcy protections for the territory, secured additional Medicaid funding, and managed relief efforts in response to hurricanes and the Zika epidemic.
Rodriguez received her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Florida and her Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar.
