Congressional Hispanic Caucus Welcomes New Communications Director, Elena Pino

WASHINGTON— Elena Pino is proud to serve as the Congressional Hispanic Caucus' (CHC) spokesperson and Communications Director. In her role, Elena will support CHC Members and the CHC's policy agenda for the 116th Congress through strategic media relations and communications tactics. Under the leadership of Chairman Joaquin Castro (TX-20), the CHC will advocate for an agenda that benefits the Hispanic community and builds an Infrastructure of Opportunity for all Americans.

Prior to joining the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, Elena served as Press Secretary and Digital Coordinator to Congresswoman Barbara Lee (CA-13). Elena received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and International Affairs, focusing on International Security and Global Social Issues, from the University of Southern California. She received her Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Elliott School at George Washington University.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
