Congressional Hispanic Caucus Urges Senate to Vote on the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act
Washington, D.C. – Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) sent a letter to Leader Schumer and Minority Leader McConnell urging the Senate to convene a vote on H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, and H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:
"Ample support from both sides of the aisle and the American public backs our call to bring the American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act to the Senate floor for passage. Now is the time for 10 Senate Republicans to join all Democrats so we can pass these key pieces of legislation, keep families together, boost our economy, and create a pathway to citizenship. Let's get to work."
