Congressional Hispanic Caucus Statement on Productive Meeting with Vice President Biden

Washington, D.C. — Today members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus led by Chairman Joaquin Castro met with Vice President Biden to discuss issues of importance to the Latino community including the coronavirus crisis, record unemployment, and immigration reform. Chairman Castro (TX-20) released the following statement after the productive conversation:

"Today members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus had a productive conversation with Vice President Biden on the most pressing challenges confronting the Latino community, particularly health care and immigration reform, said Chairman Joaquin Castro, Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

"We're at a pivotal moment in our nation's history, particularly for Latinos. We appreciate that Vice President Biden took the time to hear directly from CHC members," Chairman Castro added.

The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
