Mr. Perez is one of our nation's most trusted public servants and a role model in the Latino community. Your support for his nomination is important to our nation's economic recovery and will allow our country to move forward on important matters concerning the rights of our workforce and the quality of life for our working families."
First Vice Chair Ben Ray Luján (NM-03): “Tom Perez has been a champion for working families and a dedicated public servant who has been committed to ensuring the civil rights of all people. Through the confirmation process, the American people have had an opportunity to learn about his strong record of advocacy for the most vulnerable in our communities. It is this record that has earned him the respect of those he has worked with, and on behalf of, during a long career of public service. I encourage the Senate to support the nomination of this highly qualified individual.”
Second Chair Linda Sánchez: (CA-38): "Tom Perez is a dedicated public servant and has spent his entire career fighting for hardworking middle class families, the underprivileged, and the disabled. He is exactly who we need to lead the Department of Labor to take on long-term unemployment, immigration and the minimum wage. He will make an outstanding Secretary of Labor, and the Senate should confirm him without further delay.”
