Congressional Hispanic Caucus Endorses the Northern Mariana Islands Legal Residence Relief Act of 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) has endorsed H.R. 560, the Northern Mariana Islands Legal Residence Relief Act of 2021, introduced by CHC Member Congressman Gregorio "Kilili" Camacho Sablan (MP). The bill would allow certain Commonwealth-only Transitional Workers (CWs) and foreign investors with five years of Marianas permanent residence the ability to apply for U.S. permanent residence. Additionally, it would ensure Mariana permanent residents and CWs have access to relief assistance following natural disasters.
