Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz releases statement on Build Back Better Framework
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) and the CHC Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz released a statement on President Biden’s Build Back Better Framework.
“The Build Back Better framework is a rocket booster to our economy that will create jobs and help American families get ahead,” said Dr. Raul Ruiz. “This framework includes transformative provisions like universal pre-k, affordable childcare and expands the Child Tax Credit, which will help lift Hispanic children and families out of poverty, strengthen the middle class, and empower parents to get back to work.”
“Since day one, the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) has been working closely with the Biden Administration to bring immigration reform to fruition and we are proud to see President Biden’s framework include $100 billion to improve our immigration system and provide lasting protections for our nation’s immigrants. We look forward to continuing to collaborate with the Biden Administration to advance the Build Back Better framework and to improve the lives of the millions of Hispanic families across our country."
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
