Congressional Hispanic Caucus Applauds Nomination of Julissa Reynoso for U.S. Ambassador to Spain
WASHINGTON, D.C.—President Biden has nominated Julissa Reynoso for U.S. Ambassador to Spain.
"The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) applauds the nomination of Julissa Reynoso for U.S. Ambassador to Spain," said Chair Dr. Ruiz. "As a former U.S. ambassador to Uruguay, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Chief of Staff to First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, Ambassador Reynoso has direct experience fostering diplomatic relations and strengthening democratic ideas and values to create opportunities at home and abroad. Her diverse experience makes her an excellent choice for the important position, and I urge the Senate to confirm her for the post of U.S. Ambassador to Spain."
The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC), founded in December 1976, is organized as a Congressional Member organization, governed under the Rules of the U.S. House of Representatives. The CHC is dedicated to voicing and advancing, through the legislative process, issues affecting Hispanics in the United States, Puerto Rico and U.S. Territories.
