CHC Welcomes New Communications Director
Washington, D.C.: Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Chair Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) is proud to announce that Kristian Ramos is the Caucus’ new communications director.
Kristian comes from NDN and the New Policy institute where he was the Director of the 21st Century Border Initiative. In that role he forged partnerships with a broad coalition of Congressional, local and law enforcement officials and fulfilled a number of important communications roles. He also implemented aggressive new media campaigns around immigration and the southwest border.
During the 2012 election season he served as a Democratic National Committee Hispanic surrogate championing issues important to the Hispanic community on radio, television, and internet programs. Before working at NDN, Kristian worked in the United States Senate for Majority Leader Harry Reid in the Senate Democratic Communications Center.
Kristian is a proud southwestern native, born in Texas and raised in Arizona. He has a Masters in Governmental Affairs from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The George Washington University.
