CHC ON LEON RODRIGUEZ SENATE CONFIRMATION
Washington, DC- Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) and CHC First Vice Chair Ben Ray Luján (NM-03) released the following statement following the Senate's confirmation of Leon Rodriguez as United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director.
"We congratulate Leon Rodriguez on his Senate confirmation as the next United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director. Mr. Rodriguez, who replaces Alejandro Mayorkas, has a long-standing record of public service. The work the USCIS does is critically important to the Latino community and our country as a whole, and we are confident in Mr. Leon Rodriguez's ability to lead the agency. We look forward to working with him in his new role," said CHC Chairman Rubén Hinojosa.
