CHC ON APPOINTMENT OF ALEJANDRO PÉREZ

Washington, DC- Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) and Members of the CHC released the following statements on the appointment of Alejandro Pérez. Mr. Pérez has been appointed to serve as Deputy Assistant to the President and House Liaison in the White House. He has worked for President Obama since February 2009 and prior to that, held an array of positions including Floor Director for then-Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer and Executive Director of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

CHC Chairman Rubén Hinojosa: "I have had the privilege of knowing Alejandro for many years now and have seen him grow and excel in all the positions he has held. Alejandro is an invaluable asset to the CHC, the House Democratic Caucus, and of course, the White House. I am lucky to call him not only a colleague but also a close personal friend. I congratulate Alejandro and his family on the appointment and look forward to working with him in his new role."

CHC First Vice Chair, Congressman Ben Ray Luján (NM-03): “I congratulate Alejandro on this new position and look forward to continuing to work with him to promote an agenda that grows our economy and strengthens the middle class.
