CHC CHAIRMAN ON RETIREMENT OF REP. NEGRETE MCLEOD

Washington, DC- Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa (TX-15) released the following statement in response to Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod's announcement that she will not seek another term in Congress.

"It has been an honor serving with Congresswoman Gloria Negrete McLeod in the 113th Congress and having her as a Member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. She has been a strong voice in the Hispanic Caucus and has worked hard to represent her constituents in the 35th Congressional District. Her commitment to the local community is to be admired, and I am confident the Congresswoman will continue to be an effective leader and advocate in her next public service role."
