CHC CHAIRMAN ON "MY BROTHER'S KEEPER" REPORT
Washington, DC- Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rubén Hinojosa released the following statement on the release of the "My Brother's Keeper" report by the White House. In February, Chairman Hinojosa joined President Obama for the launch of the "My Brother's Keeper" initiative which seeks to help young boys and men of color.
"I applaud President Obama for his commitment to ensuring that young minority men have the tools they need to succeed in life. Young boys and men of color face many obstacles and too often, they fall through the cracks. 'My Brother's Keeper' is a comprehensive initiative focused on ensuring that no young boy or man is left behind in our country. The report's release is another bold and important step forward in helping us determine how best to empower Latino, African-American and American Indian men.
As part of the "My Brother's Keeper" initiative, a 90-day report was produced which includes recommendations on how to help young boys and men of color succeed in our country. To learn more about the initiative and the report, visit https://www.whitehouse.gov/my-brothers-keeper.
