CHC Chair Statement on Full Support for Mayor Eric Garcetti's Nomination
Washington, D.C. – Following today's Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) business meeting, in which Mayor Eric Garcetti was a guest, CHC Chair Dr. Raul Ruiz issued the following statement:
" The Congressional Hispanic Caucus fully supports the nomination of Mayor Eric Garcetti as Ambassador to India. When confirmed, he will serve as the first Latino to hold the post and will play an important role in helping to build cross-cultural and economic bridges with our nation's diverse communities. It is critical that we move swiftly to confirm Garcetti. Now is the time to strengthen our cultural and economic ties with India."
