Chairman Espaillat Congratulates Rep. Robert Garcia (CA-42) on Receiving the CHC's Endorsement to Lead House Oversight Democrats
Washington, D.C. – Washington, D.C. – Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chairman Rep. Adriano Espaillat (NY-13) released the following statement celebrating the CHC's endorsement of Rep. Robert Garcia to become ranking member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
"Rep. Garcia represents both the future of the Democratic Party and is one of our most experienced public servants. As mayor of Long Beach -- a city the size of Atlanta -- Robert oversaw a multi-billion dollar budget in a city with some of the most complex infrastructure in America. His dedication to hold the Trump administration accountable for attacks on the rule of law and investigating potential misconduct make him a compelling candidate and the ideal candidate for the Oversight position," said Espaillat.
