CONGRESSIONAL HISPANIC CAUCUS, DEMOCRATIC LEADERS CALL FOR MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE
WASHINGTON – – The Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) and House Democratic Leaders will hold a press call tomorrow on the need to raise the minimum wage. House Democrats and Senate Democrats introduced the Raise the Wage Act last week, which would raise the minimum wage to $12.00 by the year 2020. According to the Economic Policy Institute, the legislation would benefit 40 percent of Latino workers in our country.
