November 5, 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC) Chair Raul Ruiz M.D. (CA-36) released the following statement after the House of Representatives voted to pass the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and rule for the Build Back Better Act (BBB):

"I am proud that the House of Representatives took the first step to advance President Biden's agenda by passing the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which is now headed to the President's desk. The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act includes investments to advance equity and will help Hispanic communities by addressing pollution and increasing access to broadband and clean drinking water," said Dr. Raul Ruiz. "By passing the House rule to consider the Build Back Better Act, we have ensured the path forward for floor consideration of this important bill that includes transformative provisions like universal pre-k, affordable childcare, and immigration reform. We look forward to continuing to work with the Biden Administration to advance policies that improve the lives of millions of Hispanic families across our country."
