WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Congressional Hispanic Caucus Leadership released the following statement in support of Adriana Kugler on her nomination by President Biden to the Board of the Federal Reserve. Dr. Kugler, an economist and US representative to the World Bank, will be the first Latina policymaker for the central bank in its 109-year history.

“Congratulations to Dr. Kugler, a Colombian-American, on her nomination to the Federal ReserveDr. Kugler is a highly qualified candidate with extensive experience as the Chief Economist for the Department of Labor under President Obama, the United States Executive Director of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and as the US representative to the World Bank. Her distinguished research in immigration, labor relations, and unemployment will help guide the Federal Reserve in its efforts to building a more inclusive economy for every American.
